HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIGHTON WILDER!

April 30, 2022
Today, at 8:39am, our brave and strong Brighton Wilder came into the world in the most peaceful and calm manner possible. He was here just long enough to tell us hi and that he loved us before being carried in the arms of Jesus to Heaven, completely healed and only knowing love and feeling no pain.

Lassen was able to come in and see his brother. He eventually got into bed with me and looked at Brighton, touched his cheeks, and said “Love you.” So heart wrenching and sweet.

Brighton has the most perfect face and nose and defined lips. He has the softest cheeks. He has the sweetest fingers and long feet and toes. He even had quite a bit of hair! We eventually weighed and measured him. 4lbs, 1 oz and 15.5 inches long. Just so, so perfect and I already miss feeling his little bottom pressing against my belly. I miss his kicks and hiccups and movements. Thank You Jesus that I felt those so strongly all these months. My boy was so strong and brave.

So many prayers were answered during our time here. We had so much joy yesterday and today when we met Brighton – it was just the best. Our nurses, Marlie, Shellie, and Nicole, were the perfect people for each stage of our journey. Dr. Foxlow was able to deliver Brighton just as she was ending her shift- I rapidly progressed to a 10 just in time. Brighton spent a few precious minutes alive in my arms! Whenever he passed into Heaven, it was so peaceful we were unaware. Thank You Jesus. Joy and sorrow coexisted today only because of Jesus and it was beautiful.

I didn't feel Brighton move at all after he was born. Kyle felt him squeeze his finger, like he was saying "Hi Dad! I love you." So thankful he has that precious memory since I got to feel him move for 9 months.
