"WHAT OTHER KING LEAVES THE THRONE?"

I think about this often. God's love is so much bigger than anything we can comprehend.

I had another ultrasound today and we got the sweetest pictures of our baby. So in love. Everything looks good. This baby has the cutest little nose just like Lass and Bright!

“What other King leaves the throne?” I heard this verse in a song and it’s stuck with me all day.

Lassen still keeps saying this baby is a boy named Anna. Probably because we have a friend named Anna haha! It has been really fun to share this pregnancy with friends and my nurses who I had with Brighton. All of them still tell me stories where Brighton has been brought up in conversation. Allison told me she had just been talking to Macy at the funeral home and Macy brought us up. They both took such good care of him.

Brighton would have been 22 months old, but instead he’s experiencing eternity with Jesus! We miss him everyday. This new baby will never replace him but is such a sweet addition we didn’t know we needed in our family.

I was asked to share our story at Bethel’s worship night and today was the day! I had prepared the best that I could, prayed and had people praying for me, and by the time it started I was just really excited about the opportunity. I had so many friends there supporting me and even some friends who don’t go to our church!

There were several songs before I talked and it was just really amazing – the Holy Spirit was there and I was really excited to share. God gave me confidence in my words and my voice was strong and didn’t waver. I told my story and I believe God was the focus of it. I am just thankful for how it went and Kyle took a video that I was able to share with friends who weren’t there, even some non-believers which was cool!

My sweet friend Lauren helped me through my talk:)

Yesterday, I had my glucose test (I passed) and a really good appointment. The baby had a great heartbeat of 145 which was right in line with Lassen and Brighton at this point in time…boy? We also had a good discussion about our plans moving forward. Even though my blood pressure is good right now, because of my history she thinks it will creep up and I will end up delivering early. So just good to get in the mindset that this baby could be here In 10 weeks! I also told her about my previous labors, how Pitocin doesn’t progress me well (she said if I needed to be induced we will try something else), and how I would like another natural birth (no epidural or pain meds) if the baby is in the right position and she said, “I know you can do it,” which was really encouraging. Feeling thankful that my body still feels strong and good. Now to prepare myself mentally, emotionally, and physically for the ultimate test of labor. I can do this! God made my body for this.

We sent out invitations today to all of our family and friends for Brighton’s 2nd birthday next month. It isn’t a party but we invited people to donate to the Brighton House that Promise Housing is working on. We had several people already donate which has been incredibly special. I miss him so much. Hard to believe it’s almost been 2 years…

We just got back home from Knoxville! Our camping plans got altered because of the weather, so instead we met up with Kyle in Tennessee (he was down there for work) and saw family. It was a great weekend. Lassen and Clark had so much fun playing together and they even did their first 1 mile kids race! Kyle ran with Lassen and I was just so proud – Lassen most importantly had a blast but he also ran almost the entire thing and it was a very hilly course!

I am 28 weeks today – third trimester! Come on baby- keep growing! We are so excited to meet you😊

Total Eclipse!

We have raised well over $1000 for Brighton's House!

Lots of things. Kyle is back in Sacramento for work and seeing our old friends from when we lived there. I wish we were with him.

Brighton’s birthday is in one week and it has been really emotional this year – maybe even more than last year. We were planning a massive party last year and we aren’t this year. I am very pregnant and getting baby things ready and that is a reminder of what has changed.

I was pregnant at this time last year with a baby I would love and lose. Just really heavy stuff.

Funny story I just thought of. Last week, Lassen packed his suitcase and spent the night with Kyle’s parents to practice for when the baby comes. He did really great, but in the morning, I knew there was a little confusion when he asked where the baby was ha! Not for a few months buddy!

Found the perfect rainbow minky fabric for our rainbow baby!
