TIME IS SHORT HERE ON EARTH, BUT HEAVEN IS FOREVER

We went to the zoo today with some friends – just adding more great memories to Brighton’s list of things he gets to do! After we got home, we went to another park to meet up with some other friends. Such a great day. The sun was out, the birds were chirping, it was warm, and the flowers were blooming on all of the trees. I needed today.

Mom and dad came home from Florida and have been at our house for a few days. I told them I needed them back home early. Mom and I went shopping and she bought Brighton the sweetest little white outfit with an elephant on the chest. It was the only preemie outfit in the entire store. I hadn’t bought him an outfit because I didn’t think we needed one since I have his blankets, but I’m so glad we have one now.

Kyle and I had our first night away from Lassen and he did great! We went to the Bottleworks District for dinner and games. We tried all different kinds of food and then stayed at a hotel downtown. We just really needed this time together and knew it would be good for Lassen too. So thankful.

He is Risen! Thank you Jesus for OVERCOMING DEATH and saving us forever and guaranteeing that we will be together forever as well. Easter is extra special this year.

We had another Easter egg hunt as that seems to be Lassen’s favorite thing to do lately. It was beautiful out so we were outside all day, Kyle grilled ribs with Lassen’s help, and Lassen started saying, “Love you.” So sweet.

Praying for my appointment tomorrow – preparing myself for whatever might happen and knowing and trusting God is in the room before me. My arm has felt weird the past few days, I have had a headache off and on, and I just wonder if my blood pressure is spiking like it did with Lassen. I just want more time with Brighton but I always will desire that. Last time, his heart rate had dropped quite a bit, and the doctor said it was still fine, but in my heart I know my time with my son is short. But I am so grateful for the 35 weeks and 4 days we have had so far. My boy is brave and strong and kind and smart and loved and so worthy. He is a fighter and we desperately want to meet him face to face here on this Earth.
