BIRTHDAY AND BUTTERFLY GARDEN!
Kyle and I had a good talk last night about desiring another child. This morning, he told me that we should pray boldly and directly that God would please give us another child to raise here on Earth. I was so grateful to hear him once again say he is on board with trying again for another baby, but more so his faith to just ask God boldly. So grateful to be his wife.

My great-grandma Alice would have been 123 years old today! We were
only 36 minutes apart from sharing a birthday.
Today is my last day of being
36. It has probably been the most challenging year of my life. Definitely the
most sorrow but also so much hope in Jesus and trust in Him. I pray that I
continue to trust Him and make the most of each of the days here on Earth. Let
the things that truly matter take priority – my family and friends and showing
Jesus’ love. I pray that I see the Lord at work in this next year of life and
that I am listening well.

I am 37!! So fun😊 I love birthdays. Kyle and I had the best
date night last night at Tupelo Honey. This morning I got to go run 5 miles at
the nature park on trails which was life giving. Then, the three of us left for
Brown County State Park and went hiking. Lassen hiked the entirety of trail 2 –
2.5 miles! It was beautiful weather and I was just so happy being out there
together. At the end of the hike, we gave Lassen his Easter camera early and he
is loving is so much. We went into Nashville and ate pizza at Big Woods and
there was a 25 minute wait. Lassen took pics of every single truck and dog that
passed haha! The camera will hold 16,500 pictures before we have to unload them
on the computer.
Yesterday, we went and bought all of the plants for Brighton’s butterfly garden and got them planted. It was a labor of love and we are so excited to see them grow. Today, we put all of the rocks that people painted for his celebration out among the flowers. It is beautiful. Also, heartbreaking.
I have such good friends. Thank you God for giving me wise and Godly friends! Suzy and I were talking about Brighton’s party in one week! She said she will be in celebration mode because 1) he doesn’t have to go through any pain, fear, suffering, or hurt that happens in this world and 2) that his story has touched so many people’s lives in big and little ways already. I know I will be sad but I am just so thankful he is safe and loved and sees Jesus every single day face to face. What a gift.
I listened to a podcast today
about Heaven and it was so good! There was so much I didn’t know about Heaven-
everything I learned just makes me more excited to someday be with Jesus and
Brighton. I didn’t realize the New Heaven (once Jesus comes back) would be back
on Earth like it was during Eden. Like a perfect place again. And we will have
jobs and worship and be able to see everything on Earth. We will be with our
family and friends but none of that will compare to being with Jesus. He will
be our absolute focus.

Today, we dedicated Lassen at church which was really special. We
all went on stage and said a prayer for our son.
“We pray that Lassen knows
Jesus and shows His love to others; that he practices patience; that he has a
generous spirit and is hard working in all that he does.”
One year ago today, we were
taking maternity photos the week before we had Brighton. I wore the same dress
today. My sweet boy already gets to see Jesus face to face and I am so grateful
for that.
