Today, we celebrate Brighton's 3rd birthday! It's hard to believe we are that much closer to being with him again. God has been faithful through it all. I'll share more about "Brighton's Gifts" later in our story, but for now, I want to give you an opportunity to make a difference with us in remembering our son.
Every year, our family chooses an organization to support in memory of Brighton. This year, we have chosen to support the Isaiah 117 House which was just completed in our hometown of Greencastle, Indiana and provides a home for children being placed into foster care. Normally, children that are removed from their home end up spending the night (or nights) in the office of the case worker until they are able to find a placement. Now, they will have a beautiful home with their own bedroom while they await a new family.
The family room has been dedicated in Brighton's name already and we would be honored if you would join us in supporting this great cause as we celebrate Brighton's birthday today. As we wrote on the dedication plaque, "Every child matters." We fully believe that!
